Tonight was an interesting babysitting night to say the least!! The parents put the cat in their room before they left and the baby and I were having a great time. When it was finally the baby's bed time she CRIED and CRIED and CRIED. When she stopped crying I was so relieved! But then I had to go to the restroom. The guest bathroom is right by the baby's room so I decided to use the parent's bathroom (where the cat was) so I didn't wake the baby up. I figured the cat was nice but they put it in their so it wasn't in our way, but I was WRONG. I first opened the door and the cat hissed at me. I figured it was just mad I woke it up and after I used the bathroom it would let me walk out of the room. Wrong again. The cat continued to hiss and pounce at me. I couldn't go anywhere. I didn't know if it had claws, if it would really jump at me. I didn't know if it was seriously cruel and I didn't want to take any chances. I was then trapped in the parent's bedroom for the next HOUR before they got home. I was finally able to grab the baby monitor, jump in their bed, and hide so the cat couldn't pounce on me. Thankfully the baby never woke back up so I didn't have to worry about that. When the parents finally got home they scooped up the cat and I was able to get out! Laughing, they told me the cat had no claws but is MEAN! They said I now have permission to kick the cat as much as I need if this happens again! haha. Did I mention CATS ARE EVIL?!
