Valentine's Day 2012 could not have been a better day! I never thought I would have said a Valentine's Day with no boyfriend would have been the best one I've ever had, but it surely was! I finally realized that Jesus is truly the only "Valentine" I will ever need! He satisfies every need and loves me regardless of my past and for who I am! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to make this day such a great one!
I woke up to a coffee cup filled with chocolate hearts and a card from my precious roommate.
I am so thankful that God gave me such a wonderful roommate and best friend who is always there for me! Love you Hanney!
I then got to open a present from my mom and dad. They are such wonderful parents. God could not have placed me in better hands!
Later that day I got back to my room and found these beautiful flowers. When I was about to open the card I thought, "Awe I bet mom got these for me." But I was happily surprised to read the card and it said "Happy Valentine's Day! Love, Evan" My brother sent me flowers! He is so sweet and thoughtful! I love him so much!
That night my friends and I went to Wesley to listen to Hugh and worship our amazing God! Hugh has such a gift from God at knows what to say. I am so blessed that he is our leader at Mississippi State!
After Wesley, Hannah, Anna, Rachel, Rebecca, and I all went to see The Vow. It was such a good movie! The love that Channing Tatum's character had for Rachel McAdams character was absolutely amazing! He loved her with every bit of him. That is the type of man I am looking for. That would do anything for me, love me through anything, and help me be a strong Christian and grow in my walk!
I can't wait until the day I meet him!!! :)
But obviously this holiday is not about gifts and flowers but remembering and celebrating those you love. It is also remembering the love that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has for us! Words can not begin to describe how close I've gotten to Him in the past 8 months. I'm so thankful that God loved me so much that He let His son die on a cross for my sins. Now that's love!
